President Donald Trump’s favorite pastor believes that she is such a powerful figure that wherever she stands should be sanctioned as holy ground.
During a recent appearance in Tampa, Florida, Pastor Paula White told a church crowd that she is officially proclaiming the White House “holy ground,” not because of her favorite politician, but because of her. According to RightWingWatch, White thinks wherever she goes is holy.
“The church is Christ’s body in which he speaks and acts and by which he fills everything, including the White House, including government halls,” White told the crowd.

An Illinois Baptist school teacher has been accused of sexual assault and an array of other sex misconduct charges, after a police investigation revealed that she had sent sexually explicit pictures to students and asked for images in return, reports ABC Chicago.
49-year-old Shannon Griffin was arrested Monday. According to police, the inappropriate conduct started in 2013.
Griffin’s husband is a pastor at Jordan Baptist School. She herself preached sexual modesty to female students, taking it upon herself to enforce a school dress code.
At least one student noted her hypocrisy.
“It was really kind of what disturbed me, because I was like ‘Ew, I hung out with you,’ we did all this, hung out, talking to each other,” said Yhaneera Aparicio-Armas. “
She would write me up and other girls and, like, how ironic that you’re telling us how to dress, us how to be modest, and be Christian women, and you turn around doing the exact opposite,” Aparicio-Aramas told ABC. …

Disgraced former Republican Congressman Aaron Schock was recently spotted slipping cash inside of the tight underpants of a Mexico City “go-go dancer” in a gay bar over the weekend.
The Daily Mail reported the incident with photos and videos showing the 38-year-old Illinois politician in Boy Bar, described as an “LGBTQ dive bar” in the Red light District.
Schock was forced to resign in 2015 after using taxpayer dollars to fund lavish vacations with his personal photographer. The issues arose when Schock’s office became famous because he modeled the decor after the popular BBC show “Downton Abbey,” which was also paid for by taxpayer funds.
According to Politico, Schock was charged with “24 felony counts alleging that he fleeced taxpayers and campaign donors through false expense claims, including inflated mileage reimbursements, personal travel expenses and camera gear — and by using campaign funds to buy Super Bowl tickets that he sold online.” …

Fundamentalist Christian Who Founded ‘Biblical Flat Earth Society’ Busted On 56 Counts Of Child Sexual Exploitation

A fundamentalist Christian man who is the self-proclaimed founder of the “Biblical Flat Earth Society” was arrested this week and charged with 56 counts of child sexual exploitation.
Local news station WTVD reports that Durham, North Carolina resident Phillip Stephen Stallings is facing dozens of charges of sexually exploiting minors after he allegedly “downloaded media that involved minors engaging in sexual activities.”
In addition to facing 28 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 28 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, Stallings this week was also served with a warrant related to financial card theft and cyberstalking.
Stallings’s personal website promotes his belief that the Earth is flat and cites biblical justifications for this provably false belief. Stallings believes that there is a conspiracy among the so-called Illuminati to “cover up the flat Earth” that is “certainly connected to sun worship which goes all the way back to Nimrod and the tower of Babel.”
In addition to floating “flat Earth” theories, Stallings also promotes YouTube videos about “biblical teaching on feminism, transvestites, sodomites and women in the military.” …

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough lamented the degradation of evangelical Christianity in the service of President Donald Trump.
The “Morning Joe” host said conservative Christians were willing to trade away their religious values to back Trump in hopes of packing the courts with right-wing judges.
“What a bitter, bitter irony that you have a political movement that you now have a subset of the church,” Scarborough said, “that is so obsessed with the appointment of federal judges over the treatment of young children, worried about the unborn and seemingly dismissing how children are treated, how infants are treated, how toddlers are treated, how these children on the border are being abused.”…
