MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch warned President Donald Trump’s associates to ignore advice from the president’s attorneys, because they’ve already landed someone in prison.
The “Morning Joe” contributor revealed that Trump’s personal attorney Jay Sekulow, a religious right media figure, has already gotten former Trump Organization attorney Michael Cohen sent to prison to protect
the president.
“I’m going to give them the number, it’s 1-800-Otisville, and they should all call Michael,” said Deutsch, a friend of Cohen’s. “None of these people are going to tell anything but the truth. By the way, the lie (Cohen) told was at the direction of Jay Sekulow.”
Host Joe Scarborough reacted with surprise.
“But Jay’s a Christian,” he deadpanned. “Wait — Jay’s a Christian, he told him to lie?” …

Christian Minister Strikes Teen Girl In The Head With His ‘Christian identity badge’ During Road Rage Attack

A 61-year-old Florida minister has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old girl during an episode of road rage. Stephen Grosso struck the girl in the head with his “Christian identity badge,” News Channel 8 reports.
Police say that Grosso was upset with the teen for driving too close to him and got out of his car to confront her as she stopped to let a school bus pass. He was reportedly holding the metal police-like badge as he approached her, and when the girl lowered her window, he reached in and struck her in the forehead.
Grosso has since been charged with burglary with simple battery.
As the Friendly Atheist’s Hemant Mehta points out, Grosso is the head of Ablaze Worldwide Ministries, which is a “fire-obsessed ministry with a website that should’ve gone up in flames at least a decade ago.” …

Extremist Religious Right Activist Ralph Reed: Christians Deserve Persecution If They Fail To Reelect Trump in 2020

Religious right activist Ralph Reed appeared on Stephen Strang’s podcast yesterday [11/4], where he warned that if Christians don’t come out in record numbers to ensure the reelection of President Donald Trump in 2020, they will face wholesale persecution from Democrats and they will deserve it.
Strang claimed that “life as we know it as Christians” would be forever changed if Trump does not win.
“It’s going to be bad news, and Christians have to realize that they cannot be complacent,” he said. “[Trump] is our champion and he has come through on his promises again and again, and we’ve got to get him back into a second term to finish what he’s started and also to stop the other side.”
Reed readily agreed, saying that Trump deserves the support of Christians because of what he has done regarding Israel and the judiciary. …

Ex-Pastor Warns Trump Embrace Will Destroy Evangelical Christianity: ‘I don’t think it’s going to end well’

A former fundamentalist pastor called out the evangelical movement he left behind, saying their political support for President Donald Trump was unforgivable.
Joshua Harris, a former megachurch pastor and author of a bestselling book that advocated premarital celibacy, said the evangelical movement’s embrace of Trump was “incredibly damaging to the Gospel, and to the church,” reported Axios.
“I don’t think it’s going to end well,” Harris told the website. “You look back at the Old Testament and the relationship between the prophets and really bad leaders and kings, and oftentimes it was, it’s not something you unwind because it’s, it’s actually in the scriptures presented as God’s judgment on the false religion of the day.” …
