Russia Monitor: Russia’s Highly Placed American Asset

“Malcolm Nance argues Trump became a ‘witting asset’ to Russia.”

— Malcolm Nance, NBC Morning Joe (6/26/18): ‘The Plot to Destroy Democracy’ book release.

Dear Fellow Readers,

Three former intelligence officers came forward in the last few days to explain that Trump is a ‘witting asset’ of Russia.

Russia has “successfully penetrated some of Florida’s election systems ahead of the 2018 midterm elections” according to both Florida Senators, one Democrat and one Republican: “An 11 Year-old Girl Hacked A Replica Of The Florida Secretary Of State’s Website Within 10 Minutes – And Changed The (Election) Result”.

Meanwhile, House Intelligence Chair, the Clyde Crashcup of Trump defense, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) is heard on tape admitting to protecting Trump or “we loose it all”. Nunes clinches the case for Party over Country if there was a shred of a scrap of any remaining debate.

The case for Trump, Russpubicans and crony corruption with Russia is made, all that is missing is the orange jumpsuits and handcuffs on their way to jail. We know what this will look like, just like the trial of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

Trump’s defense is offered daily by his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, and it amounts to arguing that collusion is not a crime, the final line of defense against a deluge of Trump-Russia corruption details. Trump’s strategy is to make it to 2020 for a reelection race and let voters decide.

Russia’s “witting asset”

Author and commentator on terrorism and intelligence Malcolm Nance has a new book, The Plot to Destroy Democracy: How Putin and His Spies Are Undermining America and Dismantling the West’.

We’ll highlight two interviews. The shorter one on MSBC’s Morning Joe is first: Malcolm Nance Argues Trump Became A ‘witting asset’ To Russia.

Nance is asked if Trump is a Russian agent and he offers a more useful clarification in response. According to Nance Trump started out as a ‘useful idiot’ acting out of self-interest, graduation to ‘unwitting asset’ out of ignorance, but showing himself to be a full Russian ‘witting asset’ when in July 2016 Trump said, “Russia if you’re listening”, in an open message to Putin and Russia in response to ‘dirt’ on Hillary.

Nance’s clincher, “…he (Trump) will never betray Vladimir Putin, he will never betray Russia”.

A longer and more interesting interview is offered here thanks to a Commoner Call reader: Malcolm Nance On “The Plot To Destroy Democracy”.

More on Trump as Russian “agent of influence” from a second former intelligence officer offers his perspective: Bob Baer Shares Scoop On Trump & Russia.

“Bob Baer says he knows some of President Donald Trump’s Soviet secrets. The former undercover CIA operative divulged what he’s learned about Trump’s long-running relationship with Russia — specifically the KGB — during a free community event Thursday night at the Wilkinson Public Library. At the Telluride TV-sponsored talk, he explained the chumminess with the Communists dates back to 1986, when Trump, then a real estate developer in New York City, attended a cocktail party that included KGB agents, unbeknownst to Trump. America’s future president unwittingly became an “agent of influence,” which Baer explained is a person who is “susceptible to KGB manipulation, but the word KGB never comes up.””

Imagine that, Trump easily swayed by Russian flattery:

“During that time, he added, a KGB “illegal” (the term for an undercover KGB agent) filled Trump’s head with anti-Ronald Reagan rhetoric and delusions of grandeur, including planting the possibility of a U.S. presidential run, during a 1991 visit to the former Soviet Union, which was close to collapse and “broke.”

““It was a piece of flattery,” Baer said. “The Russians started his political aspirations.””

Trump sells us all out for personal aggrandizement.

House of Trump

Author Craig Unger shares his research of Trump-Russia Kompromat. Unger’s new book is ‘House of Trump, House of Putin; the Untold Story of Donald Trump and the Russian Mafia’.

Donald Trump was likely to have been compromised by Russian intelligence agents on a trip to Moscow 31 years ago, a bombshell new book claims.

“The president would have been filmed in 1987 with Russian prostitutes sent to him as a ‘honey trap’ even though he traveled with then-wife Ivana, making him vulnerable to blackmail by the Kremlin, its then top spy told the book’s author.

“The material would have been carefully conserved by spies since then.

Oleg Kalugin, the former head of counterintelligence for the KGB, told author Craig Unger that Trump would have had ‘many young ladies at his disposal’ – and Russia would have been watching. he had been officially invited by a senior diplomat to discuss possible property developments.

“Kalugin claimed that Trump probably even knows about the existence of the files about him containing material the Russians call ‘kompromat‘.”

Imagine the chutzpah of Trump knowingly complicit while listening to the FBI warnings of election interference.

‘Fool me once’…

Certainly we are prepared to protect our elections going forward? Right?

Um, no, actually: Dem Senator: Russians Have ‘penetrated’ Some Florida Election Systems.

No, we are NOT prepared to protect our elections.

“Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) on Wednesday claimed Russian hackers had successfully “penetrated” some of Florida’s election systems ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.

“”They have already penetrated certain counties in the state and they now have free rein to move about,” Nelson told the Tampa Bay Times

“Nelson said leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee encouraged him and fellow Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) to notify Florida state election supervisors that “the Russians are in their records,” according to the report.

“Nelson told the news outlet that the state has to act quickly, emphasizing that Russia is trying to undermine faith in the U.S. democratic system.”

GOP leaders in Florida, including Gov. Rick Scott (R-FL), respond forcefully – by attacking Sen. Nelson.

It’s almost as if Russpublicans don’t want to get to the bottom of Trump-Russia or Russian influence on our elections. Could that possibly be so?

Nunes on tape

It is exactly like that, by design, the Russpublicans want to hide Trump-Russian corruption and Russian influence in our elections: Devin Nunes, In Secretly Recorded Tape, Tells Donors GOP Majority Is Necessary To Protect Trump: ‘We’re the only ones’

“Republican Rep. Devin Nunes of California, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, appears to have moved from criticizing the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election to strategizing about how to blunt its impact should it imperil President Trump.

“The most promising instrument in this effort, he suggested in unfiltered remarks last month, is retaining a GOP-controlled Congress.”

Imagine, Party Over Country, the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee telling donors, “if we do not keep the majority, all of this goes away”.

Rachel Maddow broke the story and made Nunes’ comments public: Nevin Nunes At Private Fundraiser.

That’s it – protect Trump at all costs to protect the Russpublican control of the White House, the Senate and the House. And reward your donors for their complicity.

Nation be damned.

The one sure way to end all this

Trump is an “agent of (Russian) influence” because of Kompramat.

Trump knowingly coordinated with Russia in violation of federal laws while accusing Hillary Clinton of doing exactly what he was doing – lying and breaking the law. Imagine Trump sitting quietly while being warned against Russian interference at the beginning of his campaign, knowing fully that Russia was helping him.

The shameless audacity and impudence of Trump. The shameless audacity of Devin Nunes who likely imagines himself ‘protected’ in his California district that elected him by a 45% margin in 2016, with Trump winning by 10%. Nunes apparently holds an advantage over challenger Andrew Janz while “sitting on an eye-popping pile of money he’s raised in recent months”. Defending Trump has advantages among conservative donors.

There is a sure way to end all this. Vote against the Russpublicans in 2018 and 2020. Vote to let the Rule of Law return and determine what Trump, Putin and the Russpublicans did to us.
