The Our Wisconsin Revolution Convention is right around the corner.
Don’t forget to register, as soon as possible, as we need an accurate count for food and lodging. All meals are included with your ticket purchase! Great rooms are available on the campus for a really reasonable price.
And here are some fun tidbits to get you excited about the weekend:
FRIDAY JUNE 22nd
- Registration will open at 4 pm
- There will be an all group welcome at 5:30 pm
- We will have a Candidate Unforum (time to talk directly with candidates about what is important to you and have FUN!) over heavy appetizers at 6:30 pm
- This will be followed by social time at the nearby Biergarten
SATURDAY JUNE 23rd
- Registration begins on Saturday morning at 7:30 am, followed by breakfast
- The opening session will be at 9 am, followed by breakout sessions and panels for the rest of the morning. Come to learn, plan and organize!
- We are excited to welcome Anat Shenker-Osorio, author of the book Don’t Buy It, a guide to economic messaging as our midday keynote (more details to follow) for lunch
- The business session will run from 2-5 pm in which we will take up any potential changes to the OWR Bylaws, Program, and other administrative business including Board elections (more information to be released in the coming week)
- We will round out the day with speakers and more social time over dinner
SUNDAY JUNE 24th
- Sunday morning will focus on breakouts and trainings; an opportunity to hone your skills before heading back to your area and getting to work on the Fall elections!
- We’ll wrap up the Convention with an exciting “elevator speech” contest – “Why we need you to join OWR.” We’ll practice how you can talk to folks about the importance of OWR in 5 floor elevator ride or less! (and YES there will be a prize! for the top voted speech)
