Republican Senator Dean Heller (NV) had his security officials remove a stage 4 cancer victim from a town hall after she tried to question him about the future of the Affordable Care Act.

In video posted to Twitter by Battle Born Progress, Laura Packard can be seen addressing the GOP senator about the implications of the Senate’s tax plan on healthcare only to have two men accost her and remove her from the room.

Writing on Twitter, Packard said she had been warned to keep quiet by Heller’s “goons” before the town hall began.

“@SenDeanHeller’s goons threatened me before the event even started. (Srsly, wut?) Then he read my question from the stage, so I stood up to add to it. This is what happened next.”

In May, Packard tweeted that she has stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

“I have stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. 1st chemo today. Obamacare is literally keeping me alive & can get me cured. If it survives. #SavetheACA,” she wrote.

Packard also questioned why she was singled out, suggesting Heller has an “enemies list.” …

Hey, Senator Heller…

Watch the video and you will see Republican Sen. Dean “Shut Up And Sit Down” Heller perched in front of banners proclaiming “Libre Forum” – as in liberty or freedom – as a constuient is booted from a town hall meeting. Really, you can’t make this stuff up.

Obviously Sen. Heller has the compassion of a stone; he couldn’t even pretend to give a damn. How about sending an email to Sen. Heller to let him know what you think of his callous disregard for one of our fellow citizens in need. When you can’t expect elected representatives like republican Sen. Heller to give a damn about citizens the citizens need to stand united together.
