A Call For Peace

The Commoner Call (2/12/18)

The militarization of our country has reached a boiling point.

WE must turn down the flame.

The propaganda for war overseas has overwhelmed logic and reason.

Both sides of the aisle have increased the world’s largest defense budget by $70 billion more, than the $700 billion we had already planned to spend.

This is more than the right wing wanna-be dictator asked for,

And more than the rest of the world combined.

So who’s the most dangerous?

We are modernizing the nuclear forces instead of scrapping them.

Even our beloved Bernie voted for the F-35, the world’s most expensive, and least effective fighter jet in the current inventory.

Military/Industrial gone amok

We have troops in over 140 countries doing God knows what.

We must support our soldiers as individuals, and do it by bringing them home.

Glorifying military service as a quality that implies good judgment for political service

is a disservice to those who show the courage to stand up to military madness.

Just following orders is not good enough.

Illegal orders must be refused.

The response to 9/11 was/is endless war.

It should have been an intensive police/forensic investigation.

The “hijackers” were not from Afghanistan, they were not from Iraq.

Isis is the Republican Guard we refused to hire to prevent the looting we allowed in Iraq.

Osama should have been tried, not buried at sea.

Bush and Powell and Rumsfeld should have been tried and locked up.

Obama assassinated people with drones

Military madness is killing our country*

A coming together, of people around the world, can end the war machine.

Military Parades are for dictators.

Peace is never made through war.

Crimes of the “victor” go unpunished.

We need to support the Olympic thaw in Korea, not ignore the chance for Peace.

We need to stand in front of tanks, like Tienanmen Square

when our bully-in-chief has his parade.

We are the adults here, and unfortunately our leaders are not.

War is a racket.#
