Leslie Stahl posed the question in a Sixty Minutes segment that aired in May of 1996: were the deaths of over half-million children under age five an acceptable price to pay for a dubious policy?
Madeleine Albright, who was the U.S. Secretary of State at the time, replied: “I think this is a very hard choice, but the price–we think the price is worth it.”
I am aware of the potential for terrible things to happen with Donald, but this type of thing was happening with the DNC and Third Way types. The resistance we see may not be enough, but it would not be happening at all under HRC (Hillary Rodham Clinton).
